It's hard to put into words what Granny meant to me. I once joked that I didn't even know her real name till I was in 8th grade because she was always just Granny to me. Technically, Granny and I weren't blood related but that never mattered to her. She took me into her family, treated me like a grandson and always made me feel welcome. I remember so many times leaning on Granny for advice. She always offered a warm ear and a smile and she loved passing on her wisdom to me. She taught me to cook, to drive a boat, to fish, she got me interested in politics and always pushed me to be better every time we talked. She was one of the most special and big hearted women I'd ever met. She will not just be missed but there will always be a hole in my heart left by her absense. I miss you so much Granny.
