Four years later and I still think about you every day. We met in 8th grade, 7th period, Mrs. Neissel’s history class. We became friends by passing notes and writing raps to each other, building the Santa Maria out of cardboard, and getting in trouble for laughing too loud. I think we became even better friends when we started meeting each other at our lockers after school, and you’d walk me to my car and say hi to my mom after school every day. You saw me as a real human. You showed me unforgettable kindness, attentiveness, and looking back, I can definitely say you are one of the best souls I have ever met. You are what a true friend is.
