Earl Leon Neal, 73, of Fort Smith died at his home Saturday, September 16, 2017.He was an Army Veteran having obtained the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and a Sharpshooter Rifle Medal. He retired from Whirlpool Corporation after 36 years as a utility inspector. He was proceeded in death by his parents John and Lela (Oliver) Neal; two brothers, James C. Neal and Claude Neal.

Graveside service will be at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith with burial at the U.S. National Cemetery with Military Honors under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren, Arkansas.

He is survived by a son, Earl Neal, Jr; of Texarkana, Arkansas; four sisters, Clara Graslie, of San Jose, California, Bonnie Coffey of Yakima, Washington, Irene Gage of Van Buren and Jaunita Noble of Cedarville; a brother, Clyde Neal and wife,Maria Neal of Fort Smith; four grandchildren, April, Devin, Cody, and Brennan; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will visit with relatives and friends Monday, September 18, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Ocker Funeral Home, 700 Jefferson Street, Van Buren, Arkansas.
