I send a mix of celebration for your mom, who is now celebrating her wonderful new life with the Lord; and sympathy for you who have to wake each day without her to talk with. I am a friend of Gary’s, and have met Deanie a few times at Denny’s. She was always proud of her kids and her whole family. I know you were a blessing to her in this life, and you are even more of a blessing now as she meets her saviour. Peter said that he would not have us ignorant about our loved ones who have “gone to sleep.” For those of us who know Jesus as our personal savior and comfort, death is a longed-for blessing. I know that’s what it was for Deanie, and I hope it is for each of you so that you can - rather than mourn your loss - look forward to a wonderful family reunion soon. Dear Edwards Family, I am so sorry to hear of the death of your dear loved one, now and in the days to come you will need strength and comfort to deal with your loss. The Bible describes God at 2 Corinthians 1:3,4 as a Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort. We have a wonderful promise at Revelation 21:4 God will wipe out every tear from our eyes and death will be no more neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. We can look forward to the promise that sickness, pain, and death will be no more here on our earth! Deanne will truly be missed. I'm am so sorry that I can't be there to say my goodbyes. She lived her life as an example to others to put God first in your life.
