Kaye, and extended family, I remember your mother well. She was beautiful and kind and made raising a large family look easy. She always welcomed me into the home with a smile. We were neighbors back in the 60's there in Harrison, AR. Kaye, you and your mother taught me how to make the best JELL-O ever, by stirring in Cool Whip before completely set. Irene visited us one December and helped me decorate our tree. We had a glass of wine and I told her the stories behind each ornament. She asked me to remember her and have a glass of wine when I was decorating the tree each year. Hiram Walker gave their employees beautiful Chrismas ornaments at their Christmas parties. Irene was kind enough to give those to me and I think of her each year when I place them on our tree. We shared many recipes and laughs. She will be forever in my heart.
