Even though she did not stay married to my uncle for very long, because of his death, I knew they had each found the love of their lives. I have thought of Bafbara often over the years, and was always grateful that Uncle James had her in his life, if only for only for a brief time. It was Barbara who was left to live the rest of her life, and now they are re united for eternity.

I will never forget Barbara's generosity toward my Mother when she was in the nursing home. She was there for 4 years and had beautiful hair. The first time we got it cut at the nursing home, it was not good. Barbara volunteered to come to the nursing home and cut my Mother's hair without taking a penny for it. It was hard for her to take even a token of appreciation from me, which could never equal what she did for my Mom. She said it was her service - that's what she did. I will cherish those times when she was there cutting Mother's hair, but more than that I will always remember her "Servant's Heart". This is what Barbara was all about. I would like her family to know how very much I appreciated this act of kindness. It will never be forgotten.
