Obituary for Betty Rhodes
Betty Rhodes, 73, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2019 in a local hospital. She was born on June 13, 1945 in Woodland, California. She was a retired registered nurse and had worked at Sparks Hospital and Peachtree Hospice. Betty was the happiest while working in her flower beds and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wiles and Libby Sue Compton and one brother, Mike Eidson.
Graveside memorial service will be 1:00PM, Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Forest Park Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Larry Rhodes of the home; a daughter, Ginny Wilson and her husband Chris of Fayetteville, AR; a son, John Rhodes and his wife Rachele of Fayetteville, AR; five sisters, Ann Rantz of Roland, OK, Barbara Bomar of Tulsa, OK, Marilyn Worden and husband J.C. of Owasso, OK, Suzanne Evans and husband Robert of Bella Vista, AR and Mary Casper of Lincoln, NE; one brother, Jimmy Jackson and wife Cindy of GA and special cousins, Rick and Margie Stiles of Fort Smith, AR.
Cremation was under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, AR.
