Obituary for Carroll Steve Rogers

Carroll Steve Rogers, 71, of Van Buren, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 in his home. He was a retired 20 year employee of Hiram Walker, he was a U. S. Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam War as a helicopter mechanic and of the Christian Faith. He was born October 22, 1947 in Van Buren, Arkansas to the late Carroll and Juanita Rogers. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Amy Almer and two brothers, Donald Harp and Thomas Rogers.
Funeral service will be 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at Ocker Chapel in Alma with interment in Fort Smith U. S. National Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
Survivors include Phoebe Rogers of the home; one son, Burton Rogers of Mountainburg, AR; two daughters, Brandy Rogers of Van Buren, and Marla Powers of Cecil; one sister, Carolyn Hindman of Van Buren; one brother, Lum Rogers of Sugarloaf; 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
The family will visit with friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday evening, November 12, 2018 at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma, 917 Hwy. 64 East, Alma, AR.
