Alvis Harvey Davis, 84, of Greenwood, Arkansas passed away Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Alma Healthcare & Rehab. He was a retired part owner/barber of Town & Country Barber Shop on the town square. He was of the Baptist faith, an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener. Alvis enjoyed all the clients he had at his barber shop and was creative with his artistic haircuts with Nike swishes, Batman and etc. He was preceded in death by his parents Nathan Davis and Arizona Esque Davis; his wife of 63 years Shirley Mae (Hobbs) Davis; three brothers, Allen, Donald and Jimmy Davis and a sister, Louella Floyd.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Ocker Chapel of Alma with interment at New Cemetery in Mulberry under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
Survivors include one daughter, Charlotte Davis Nolan (Donald) of Van Buren, AR; a son, Cary Davis (Marguerite) of Greenwood, AR; one sister, Doris Williams of Yucca Valley, CA; one sister in law, Linda Davis Of Greenwood, AR and five grandchildren, Nathaniel Nolan (Betsy), Alex Nolan (Samantha), Brian Davis, Travis Davis and Kimberly Davis.
Pallbearers will be Donald Nolan, Alex Nolan, Nathan Nolan, Dennis Jones, Steve Davis and Brian Davis.
The family will visit with friends Monday, October 29, 2018 from 6:30 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Ocker Chapel of Alma, 917 Hwy 64 E., Alma, AR.
