Marie Edwards Vickery, 78, of Van Buren passed away Saturday, October 13, 2018 in a local hospital. She was a former employee of Crawford County as a Deputy Circuit Clerk and a homemaker. She was a long time member of the First Baptist Church in Van Buren. She was born and resided in Mulberry and a graduate of Mulberry High School. She was the daughter of Jim Edwards and Zona (Kelley) Edwards. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Wanda Faye Dean and Sue Ann Wilson.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 16, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at First Baptist Church Chapel in Van Buren with graveside service, 10 AM Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at New Cemetery in Mulberry, Arkansas under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

She is survived by her husband Bill Vickery, Sr. of the home; a son Bill Vickery, Jr. of Little Rock; three brothers Dalton “Trixie” Edwards and wife Marsha of Paris; J.L. Edwards and wife Lola of Alma; James Hoover Edwards and wife Tammy of Jenny Lind; a brother-in-law Robert Dean of Booneville; two special grandchildren Gabe Matthews and Eli Matthews both of Muldrow; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, 1121 Main Street, Van Buren, Arkansas 72956.
