Ordering flowers from our site ensures that your order will reach us or the family in a timely manner, and your gesture of support will remain acknowledged in the Book of Memories™ for future generations. We only work with local florists so we can maintain the sense of urgency and quality of your selections. We thank you for helping to support the family during their time of need, and will fondly remember your kind gesture.
We respect the sensitivity and dignity that comes with ordering tribute gifts from the funeral home. It is for this reason that we have attempted to design our online Sympathy Store with the utmost respect to the family and the deceased. We hope you find this service helpful during your time of need and would welcome any comments or suggestions you might have to help us serve our communities better.
Condolence: I am so sorry to hear about Rex... I work with him on the Northridge POA committee.... He was so organized and dedicated to our cause... He volunteered may hours to help our POA... We talked often at the mailbox too. I just can't believe he is gone. Prayer for his family in the coming day.
Condolence: Rex's grandmother (Sadie Belle Petersen Haley) was my grandmother's (Lillie May Petersen Godden) sister. Actually there were 6 sisters. Rex's father, Glen and my father, Max were the same age and were close all their lives. They wrote each other during their Army days (WWII). After they married and had kids, (me, Karen in July 1943 and Kay Haley Evans in August) my parents and I spent a lot of time in Corning. Many weekends were spent either at Paul & Sadie's farm or at Glen & Evelyn's house. A few years later along came Rex. I remember the three of us having a lot of fun both places. Kay and I had some good times together as teenagers and Rex went his own way. A couple of years ago I saw Rex's name on Facebook and wrote, asking if he was the Rex Haley from Corning, Iowa. We had some good chats back and forth, traded some photos and were looking forward to meeting up again some day. In his photos to me, he looked just like my dad at the same age. I now live in New Jersey and Arkansas is not that far away. I was very sad to see Facebook today.
Please accept my condolences Nedra for you and your entire family. Sorry I did not get to meet you. Thoughts are with you too Kay, Terry and Mary.
