Robert "Bob" Taake, 63, of Fort Smith passed away July 18, 2018, in a local hospital. He was born July 2, 1955, in St. Louis to Robert Donald and Dorothy (Wall) Taake. He was the former owner and operator of Cheers Liquor Store and an avid golfer. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert D. Taake, and was a member of First Lutheran Church.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday at First Lutheran Church with a private burial in Roselawn Cemetery following the service. Funeral services are under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith.

He is survived by his two daughters, Britney Miller and her husband Clifton and Kristey Taake, all of Fort Smith; two sons, B.J. Taake and Chase Taake and his companion Summer Eckle, all of Fort Smith; his mother, Dorothy Taake of Fort Smith; a brother, Jeff Taake and his wife Kerri of Fort Smith; and three grandchildren, Penelope, Mila and Branson Taake.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Latta, Russ Basham, Keith Lemley, Bill Henson, Gary Boerner and Beebo Slates.

A reception will be held at Hardscrabble Country Club at 5211 Cliff Drive in Fort Smith following the funeral service.
