Carolyn Smith, 74, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on July 15, 2018 in a Tulsa nursing home. She was born on January 6, 1944 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Raymond and Mary Regina (Altmiller) Ruttle. She was a retired accountant for Whirlpool Corporation and a member of the Beta Sigma Sorority. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church.
Funeral Mass is 10:30AM, Thursday, July 19, 2018 at St. Boniface Catholic Church with burial to follow in the U.S. National Cemetery under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
The Rosary is at 6:00PM, Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at the funeral home, the family will visit with friends following the rosary.


She is survived by her husband Joseph R. Smith of the home; one son, Derek Smith and his wife Julie of Tulsa, OK; a daughter, Tricia Webb and her husband Scott of Springdale, AR; two brothers, Kenneth Ruttle and his wife Mary of Indian Harbour, FL and Dan Ruttle of Fort Smith, AR.; one sister, Ann Brabham and her husband Larry of Houston, TX; five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are H.C. Varnadore, Don Smith, Robbie Turner, Jeff and Zachary Jones and Thale Keisling.
