Obituary for Willis Craig Crowell

Willis Craig Crowell died Friday, March 9, 2018 at home. He left behind the love of his life his wife of 46 years, Brenda (Hunter) Crowell and two daughters who thought he hung the moon; Casey Crowell and Marjoe Crowell Sweat; a son-in-law Jason Sweat; his beloved brother Cliff Crowell; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Jean (Howze) Crowell and a brother Curtis Crowell.

Willis was a very hard worker and a righteous man who taught others how to laugh when things got tough. A musician through and through, Willis dedicated his life and heart to his music and his family. Willis worked for the Sebastian County Housing Authority for twenty-three years as a Housing Inspector. A true renaissance man, he loved the arts and excelled at wood carving, songwriting, and playing several instruments. He never saw a person in need that he didn’t help. He lived a life full of richness and was a truly unique individual who loved his wife and two daughters.

He was loved by so many being known as a great man who was honest and wise beyond his years. Here’s to you Willis! Enjoy your adventure. See you soon. Cheers in heaven.

The family will visit with relatives and friends Wednesday, March 14, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Ocker Funeral Home, 700 Jefferson Street, Van Buren, Arkansas.
