Obituary for James Harvey "Jimmy" Wagnon

James Harvey "Jimmy"  Wagnon
James “Jimmy” Harvey Wagnon, 69, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2017 in his home. He was born August 11, 1948 to the late Ryan and Ruby Wagnon in Fort Smith. He served three years in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War. He was a police officer for twenty five years in Pahokee, Florida retiring in January 1998 and returning to Van Buren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Ruby (Rozell) Wagnon; two sisters, Wilma Slonaker and Doris Hall; two brothers Edwin Wagnon and Kelly B. Wagnon.

Graveside service will be 10 AM, Friday, November 24, 2017 with military honors at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

He leaves behind his wife of thirty-five years Mary (Miedema) Wagnon of the home; two beloved pets, Honey and Megan; one brother, Wayne Wagnon and wife, Gerri of Illinois; and multitude of cousins, nieces and nephews.
