Johnnie Herbert “Herb” Stalcup Jr., 88, of Fort Smith, Arkansas went in peace to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Sparks Peachtree Hospice Care. He was born on May 9, 1929 to Johnnie Herbert and Lois Lea (Jaynes) Stalcup in O’Donnell, Texas. He moved to Fort Smith after residing in Clarksville for over 30 Years. He was a retired pumper in the Oil and Gas business and was of the Baptist faith.
Memorial services are 10:00Am, Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, Arkansas. Burial of the cremains will be private.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jimmie Stalcup of Fort Smith; a daughter, Denise Hurd and her husband Richard of Grand Junction, CO; two sons, Danny Stalcup and his wife Monica of Fort Smith, AR and Benjie Stalcup and his wife Cathy of Lamar, AR; two sisters, Elwanda Wuensche of Cedar Hill, TX and Nelda Bowen of Dallas, TX; one brother, Bobby Stalcup of Covington, LA; three grandchildren, Tony Hurd, Lauren deLench and Danial Stalcup and three great grandchildren.
