Obituary for Betty Anne Garrison (Parker)

Betty Anne  Garrison (Parker)
Betty Anne Garrison, formerly of Fort Smith, Arkansas, died on November 10, 2017 in Sunrise, Arizona. She was born on August 26, 1925 in Joplin, Missouri to Steve and Ferne (Hinckley) Parker. She graduated from Joplin High School and went on the gain her degree from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was a member of First United Methodist Church where she was in the Gleaners Sunday School class, the United Methodist Women and the Chapter J, P.E.O. Sisterhood. Betty loved golf and was a member of the Fianna Hills Ladies Golf Association and served as president for multiple years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Jack Parker and her beloved and deeply missed husband in heaven, J.B. Garrison.
Graveside services are 11:00AM, Monday, November 20, 2017 at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
She is survived by her three sons, Steve Garrison of Sun City, AZ, Jim Garrison and his wife Kimberly of Okemos, MI and Tom Garrison of Tucson, AZ; five grandchildren, Samantha Garrison, Stephen Baxter Garrison and Matthew James Garrison all of Phoenix, AZ and Payne Baxter Garrison and Carter James Garrison of Okemos, MI; her sister in law, Carol Parker of Joplin, MO and several nieces and nephews.
The family will visit with friends from 3:00-4:30PM, Sunday at the funeral home.
