Obituary for Billy Wayne Coulter

Billy Wayne Coulter, 83, of Van Buren, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2017 in his home. He was a retired professional carpenter and maintenance supervisor for Alma Public Schools, and a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Alma. He was born April 25, 1934 in Dyer, Arkansas to the late Orville and Goldie (Jeans) Coulter. He was also preceded in death by one son, Terry W. Coulter; one sister, Freda Abbott and two brothers, Don and Robert Coulter.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p. m. Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Ocker Chapel of Alma with interment in Dyer Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Coulter of the home; three grandchildren, Adina Harris of Fort Smith, Jason Coulter and Christina Tripp of Cordell, OK; 8 great grandchildren; one daughter, Lori Cook of Bauxite, AR and three sons, Jim Lemon of Alma, AR Bobby Lemon of Mulberry and Bill Lemon, Sr. of Long, OK; 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; several nieces, nephews and lots of friends.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Milsap, Tommy Leakey Donny Jones, Billy Lemons, Jr., Bob Harkreader and Raymond Laster.
Honorary pallbearers will be George Brown, Harold Hill, H. D. Griffin, Jim Harvey and Leonard Howard.
The family will visit with friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening, September 27, 2017 at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma, 917 Hwy. 64 East, Alma, AR 72921.
