Donald Leroy Abbott, 79 of Hartford passed away Sunday, August 6, 2017 in his home. He was a retired Social Security Administrator for Bay City, Michigan. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a resident of Hartford for the past 22 years. He had a master’s degree from Shalom Battle College in Des Moines, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his son Tom Davids, and his parents Roy and Minorva (Clethane) Abbott.
Memorial service will be 10AM, Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Fort Smith National Cemetery with military honors under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.
He is survived by his wife Janet of the home; one son Donald Woodward of Largo, FL; one sister Jessie Mumma of Bellbrook, OH; two grandchildren Kaci and Ashley of Oregon; two great- grandchildren Hunter and Conner of Oregon and two nephews.
