Homer Eggleston Jr., 88 of Van Buren passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2017 in a local hospital. He was a retired security officer in Midland, Texas; U.S. Army Veteran of the WWll and he was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Tommie Marie Eggleston.

Graveside service will be at 2:00 P.M. Friday, July 7, 2017 at Fairview Cemetery in Van Buren with military honors under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

He is survived one sister-in-law, Mary Hattabaugh of Van Buren; two brothers-in-laws, Junior Metcalf of Van Buren and Ray Parker and wife, Diane of Fort Smith; his niece and nephew, Angie Bock and husband, Vince of Van Buren and other nieces and nephews.
