JoAnn Lenahan, 87, of Fort Smith, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on Saturday December 10, 2016 in her home. She was formerly in retail sales, a substitute teacher and a homemaker. JoAnn was a member of the Christ the King Catholic Church, the Presentation Circle, the Immaculate Conception Ladies Auxiliary Circle and the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority in Memphis, TN. She was born on January 28, 1929 in Memphis, TN to Pete and Lenora (Heckle) Falsone. She was preceded in death by one son, James T. Lenahan, Jr., her parents and one brother, Pete Falsone, Jr.
She is survived by her husband, James T. Lenahan, Sr.; one daughter, Jean Chapman of Colorado Springs, CO; one son, John Lenahan of Jonesboro, AR; one sister, Madeline Hinton of Memphis, TN and five grandchildren.
Funeral mass will be 11:30 A.M. Wednesday December 14, 2016 at Christ the King Catholic Church with burial in U.S. National Cemetery under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
The Family will visit with friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home 4500 Jenny Lind Road, Fort Smith.
Pallbearers will be Terry Vines, Frank Ardemagni, Hardie Jefferies, Damon Elkins, Mickey McFadden and Don Spradling.
